The Right Way to Combat Stupid Abortion Questions

As I look back on the election and how the Senate turned out, the Republicans lost 2 super easy pickups because the candidates had a bad case of foot in mouth disease. Surely, they did answer on the side of life, but it came out so stupidly, that they were never able to recover. Sadly, their ineptitude to articulate a solid pro-life stance was overshadowed by their words. The establishment, of course, ran from them as though they had just killed somebody on national television, and we are now sitting with a bigger deficit in the senate, and no chance of repealing Obamacare.

There's a great article on the 10 questions that would never be asked of a pro-choice candidate, and it is a great way to turn the argument on it's head. However, even these don't go far enough. The republicans need to go totally pro-choice with their answers. In my opinion, the pro-life candidate should answer totally of the deep end of ending human life. It is time to quit being serious and heartfelt when answering the gotcha questions from a media and establishment that just excoriates any candidate with any position toward protecting human life.

So, from here forward, we as pro-life people should extend viability to the age of 26. This would show the democrats, who believe that it is imperative that "children" stay on the parents insurance until the age of 26 is a ludicrous stance. When asked if there should be any exceptions to a candidates anti-abortion stance, he/she should state the following:

"Thank you so much for the question. I do feel that in the case of viability of life, that we could exempt our pro-life stance. The democrats feel that a human life is a burden through the age of 26, and unable to care for itself until that point. Therefore, I do feel that we should classify any death of a child up until age 26 by the hands of their parents as an abortion. There are many individuals clogging up our prison system who have, what I will call for the duration of this debate, had an abortion outside of the womb. My opponent has stated on numerous occasions that a woman's right to choose is so important, I feel that we should extend that right until the child is totally independent."

Can you imagine the headlines? Can you imagine the shock? Can you imagine what the candidate's rebuttal would be? This would definitely start a conversation, and it would allow us, for once, to go on offense and show just how stupid the war on women, the war on vaginas, and the war on <insert fake crap here> really is. Another way we could combat the media's narrative is to state that we now agree with abortion. Take a ludicrous stance and remind those who get in our face that their parents made a bad choice. Let them know that they were a dumb ass decision away from not being able to yell at us and tell us how wrong we are. It's time to take the argument to them. It's time to make them defend their positions. It's time to make  them explain why they feel so strongly about protecting smelt that they would allow 50% unemployment in an agriculture rich area, yet stand just as staunchly for killing the unborn, at any time. It's time people. Stand up! We're right. They're wrong. Period.

Did Petraeus Betray Us?

Man, what a Friday! Tweets were going crazy! So many people caught with their pants down today... Literally! CEO of Waffle House was making batter on the side, the incoming Lockheed Martin CEO found a silo for his missile in enemy territory, but the one that made the news was General David Petraeus. On the eve of him testifying about the Benghazi scandal, he suddenly submitted his resignation as CIA director. Odd? Scandalous? Worthy of a conspiracy theory? Ugh... I just hate speculation, but let's have some fun with this one...

Petraeus works for Obama. Obama needed Clinton to campaign for him hard on the stump. Clinton, of course, is the pinnacle of all pinnacles of the modern democrat party, and we all know what he has on his dossier. One would think that they would stick together, right? Two guys, bouncing stories off each other, each one trying to one-up the others... Then, Clinton pulls out the cigar, and well, he wins. General Petraeus can't compete with that one. No president or high office holder can. Impossible... Odd thing is that this should be a resume enhancement, not an indictment or a reason to resign among this crowd.

Make no doubt about it, the Obama camp knew about this. They've known for a while now. This isn't something that just comes out of the blue. Petraeus is too proud of an American, and with this threat of releasing it to the public and being a long drawn out process of denials, he said she said, and then finally the truth, he manned-up. He got ahead of the story. He resigned, and what dignity he had left, was on full display.

But, the question is, did he do this to get out of testifying? Benghazi is a horrible failure of our government. How this president continues to walk away without a scratch is beyond me. He is an anathema to our country and sooner or later, the truth about this whole thing will come out. It will have to. Petraeus will stand up at some point. It might be down the line. It might be after Obama is out of office. It might be when the families of the fallen begin to sue the government. But, he will stand up. Now though? Ugh... not because of the affair am I disappointed, but because of the peripheral circumstances around it. Stay tuned to Fox, because we all know we won't know what's going on around the Benghazi thing on any other station...

Let the Fallout Begin! Or, Don't Blame Me, I Voted for Romney!

Was everyone else wondering why the economy was so anemic? Of course, people who would read this blog weren't. I'm already considering you some of the most informed people on the planet. I know of some people, though, who just didn't understand how the stimulus, green energy programs, Obamacare, etc. weren't creating jobs, and getting us moving again! They were impassioned that he was doing the right thing, sticking up for their vaginas, and giving out free crap that the rest of us will need to pay for.

Being in business, I informed my friends that the impending "taxmageddon" that was fast approaching, along with the amount of taxes that were pending if Obamacare was fully implemented, and that businesses were stagnant and waiting to see what these miserable policies would do to their bottom line. See, businesses don't have unlimited funds, so they actually have to have a budget, meet payroll, and provide insurance for their employees. Businesses either sell a service or a product, and based on demand of either, that drives their profit margin. If businesses are lucky enough to make a profit, and if demand continues to grow, then they expand by hiring more people. And so the cycle goes. Times are good, they continue to grow, and they continue to hire more people. Times are bad, they have to adjust, lay people off, close up shop, shut down entirely...

The last 3.5 years, times have been somewhere in the middle. Businesses were scared to hire, because of the impending costs headed their way if the policies enacted by the government, but their profit margin was good enough to where they weren't losing money either. Businesses held fast and firm, and they made a plan. They forecasted. They were able to determine that if the republicans won, and a repeal of Obamacare began, then they could go ahead and expand, hire more people, etc. If the Dems won, then they knew that times were headed in the other direction. Game over, time to adjust forecasts for the impending costs that were going to come roaring at them like a freight train.

Today, 5 pages of some high profile businesses announced that they were cutting their overhead through layoffs or through hours reduction for staff due to Obama winning the election. Now, these were businesses that were able to stay open, and they are going through restructuring. What I would like to focus on are the little guys; those businesses that don't have the capital to weather a storm like the one coming. The mom and pop shops who are lucky enough to hire a couple of people so they aren't required to be at the place every waking moment.

One guy I work with, his father owns a workshop/vehicle repair shop. He's laying off 2 of his 10 employees. Another co-worker's father was laid off beginning 12/1 due to the coming storm. Another co-worker's father who owns a business that subcontracts through a state agency is cutting 3 employees from his staff, and going from 10 state regions down to 8. This means less people are covering more territory. On the radio, I hear business owners calling in and stating that they're done. Atlas has shrugged. Why would they want to continue climbing a mountain that is just not navigable? Why put forth the effort? It's sad.

I'm hopeful that at some point we can overcome the madness. I mean, this is America. Generally, after an election, there is some fallout of some sort. But this has been brewing for years. The uncertainty, the not knowing what's coming, and the virtual unknown of who will vote for who literally held our economy in the balance. On Thursday, we found out which way the hammer would fall. It will continue to fall as the idiots in Washington make their laws and watch the ants scramble to try and meet their demands.

It shouldn't be like this. We should not be beholden to our government. They work for us dammit! At some point, we have to make a stand, but that is for another day. All we can do is hold them accountable every 2/4/6 years, and I want all of you to do that. It's time. We are still half the country. I hope we have learned from this, and I hope that when the fallout is over, when it's time for us to regroup and come roaring back, that we do so like we own the country. Because, you know what? We do! But until then, don't blame me. I voted for Romney.

The Election, Sickspach Style

So, in all of this, I did a little bit of research. An incumbent has only been defeated 10 times, and on 9 of those occasions, the president was subjected to an intra-party challenge. It is extremely difficult to beat an incumbent, but let me state here and now that if any deserved to be defeated, it was Obama. I do feel that what America voted for last night was virtually status quo. The house was maintained by the R's, Senate still controlled by the D's, and Beavis retained his kingship. There will continue to be gridlock, there will continue to be a push from 50% of the country to right this ship, and the other half will continue to demand that we pay for their way of life.

My disappointment is that this election was my turning point. I have stated to many people that 51% of us are pulling the cart and 49% are along for the ride. Tuesday night, I was hopeful that some of the 49% would want to join us. For the first time in my lifetime, we are now outnumbered. What I saw last night was the culmination of greed, entitlement and stupidity on display. Ohio, Virginia and Pennsylvania voting to get rid of the coal industry blew my mind. Florida, New Mexico and Nevada voting for amnesty was no surprise. The northeast is a clear liberal bastion, and New Hampshire needs a new state motto. My disappointment is that the takers have overtaken the producers. America was never a country that came looking for a handout, and last night, that all changed.

I heard on the radio Wednesday Rush pointing out that we can't compete with Santa Claus, and he's right. How do we responsible Americans teach the irresponsible responsibility? How do we teach them that free birth control is not a right, but if you want it, feel free to pay for it yourself? How do we look at our neighbor in disrespect for not having a job, when not having one pays better? How do we reverse unemployment, stabilize wages, and encourage entrepreneurship when the drive to be successful is demonized? I don't know what the answer is, and that is what is so puzzling to me.

I'm already reading that Bohener is going to capitulate and grant an increase in taxes on the top 3% to get us through to the next congress and to avoid the fiscal cliff. I have also read that Harry Reid is changing the rules in the Senate to stop or restrict the filibuster process. On top of that, the senate is going to ratify the small arms treaty with the UN, which will flow over to us and yet another industry will be heavily regulated. Finally, the hope for Obamacare repeal is all but a nice furry dream while maintaining a contact buzz on a trip to Colorado or Washington thanks to them legalizing marijuana.

Our country is going down the shitter. Have no doubt that we, the producers, will dwindle to 50% by 2015. Mark my words that in 2016, we will be $20Trillion in debt, a decreased tax base, and still trying to sell Chevy Volts to the masses. Our energy policy will remain the same, and there will still be a stalemate. Not only did the takers vote for more free crap on Tuesday, but the producers were able to vote for some semblance of normalcy and to retain the house. We've got a long road to hoe. If any country can do it, we can, but at some point, we have to tell the little babies no once in a while. We have to have the resolve to let them know that mommy and daddy aren't making as much money as we did a few years ago, and you might have to get off your ass and get a job, plant a garden, can, clip coupons, buy the off-brand stuff, etc. that we do everyday to save a little cash. The takers are outnumbering us now. And that isn't a good thing...

Initial Post and Who I Am

I'm just a pissed off citizen, trying to make my way in life. I've come a long way; married, children, homeowner, taxpayer, and all around contributor to the 51% of Americans who help pull the tax cart in this country. Some would say that I'm an extreme conservative, but really, I don't mind government; so long as it performs the way it is supposed to for the things it says in the constitution it's required to. I do not believe that the government should support every citizen, but it should allow for the freedoms of the individual to make his/her own choices and deal with his/her consequences.

I believe that America is a land of equal opportunity, not of equal outcomes. I do believe that some catch a break, a streak of luck, or even a silver spoon, but we should not demonize the successful. What we should do, is reach out and ask them how they got to be successful. Instead of pointing fingers and initiating blame, ask them what it took to get them to the top. Instead of joining a group claiming they are 99% of the population, I believe we should ask how to make the 1% grow to 2%, or 3, or 4...

I believe that unions have destroyed America. As with any monopoly, they set the cost of service, and they demand more, even in hard times. I was part of a union for most of my working career; was even a union steward and labor liaison for a pretty good chunk early on. Now? I work for a global, non-union corporation where the group of employees work together for a common goal. We believe that to strive for success, everyone has a part, and we should ask everyone to have a stake in the company. We believe that the vision of the company should be the vision of our customer, and each employee contributes to that. We believe that through the many, we are one agent of delivery of a product and service destined to assist the many in a single world. And it works. We all work hard, and we don't have to bow down to some thugs to demand more for us. We've achieved it on our own.

I am for limited government, not more. I watch Fox News, but I also watch every other news channel out there too. I visit Drudge , and I read the DailyKos . I will provide all of you a service. I hope you enjoy it. I'm sure you will get pissed off from time to time. I will leave no stone unturned. I seek the best for me, and through that, the best for you. Finally, I have a tendency to go over the top. I love to illustrate the truth through absurdity, hence, the title of this blog. To make a point, I will illustrate it so there is clarity, and no room for interpretation as to where I stand. So, enjoy. We're off and running!
