Did Petraeus Betray Us?

Man, what a Friday! Tweets were going crazy! So many people caught with their pants down today... Literally! CEO of Waffle House was making batter on the side, the incoming Lockheed Martin CEO found a silo for his missile in enemy territory, but the one that made the news was General David Petraeus. On the eve of him testifying about the Benghazi scandal, he suddenly submitted his resignation as CIA director. Odd? Scandalous? Worthy of a conspiracy theory? Ugh... I just hate speculation, but let's have some fun with this one...

Petraeus works for Obama. Obama needed Clinton to campaign for him hard on the stump. Clinton, of course, is the pinnacle of all pinnacles of the modern democrat party, and we all know what he has on his dossier. One would think that they would stick together, right? Two guys, bouncing stories off each other, each one trying to one-up the others... Then, Clinton pulls out the cigar, and well, he wins. General Petraeus can't compete with that one. No president or high office holder can. Impossible... Odd thing is that this should be a resume enhancement, not an indictment or a reason to resign among this crowd.

Make no doubt about it, the Obama camp knew about this. They've known for a while now. This isn't something that just comes out of the blue. Petraeus is too proud of an American, and with this threat of releasing it to the public and being a long drawn out process of denials, he said she said, and then finally the truth, he manned-up. He got ahead of the story. He resigned, and what dignity he had left, was on full display.

But, the question is, did he do this to get out of testifying? Benghazi is a horrible failure of our government. How this president continues to walk away without a scratch is beyond me. He is an anathema to our country and sooner or later, the truth about this whole thing will come out. It will have to. Petraeus will stand up at some point. It might be down the line. It might be after Obama is out of office. It might be when the families of the fallen begin to sue the government. But, he will stand up. Now though? Ugh... not because of the affair am I disappointed, but because of the peripheral circumstances around it. Stay tuned to Fox, because we all know we won't know what's going on around the Benghazi thing on any other station...
